Ceasefire agreement signed against the implementation of Sharia Law of 1999

Moulana Sufi Mohammad one of the founders of Tehreek-e-Nafaz-e-Shariat-e-Mohammadi (TNSM) who was making efforts to reach an agreement between the government and the local Talibans fighting in the areas of Swat & Dir has finally reached with a ceasefire agreement with government of Pakistan for complete ceasfire against implementation of Sharia Law. Although the formal announcement of the agreement is yet to be made Taliban of Swat have announced a 10 days ceasefire in Swat as goodwill gesture with maulan Sufi Mohammad

BBC has reported quoting Fazlulah Farooq son of Maula Sufi Mohammad that agreement has reached in a closed door meeting between the provincial government officials and the team of Maulana Sufi Mohammad. The agreement has been signed on Behalf of TMS by its chief Maulana Sufi Mohammad, Ameer Izzat Khan and Maulana Mohammad Alam.
