Pakistan stops Kashmir bus: India
The bus was unable to cross the LOC because of administrative issues raised by Pakistan, said Indian foreign ministry.
NEW DELHI: The Srinagar-Muzaffarabad bus was unable to cross the Line of Control (LOC) on Thursday because of administrative issues raised by Pakistan, India's foreign ministry said.
A foreign ministry spokesman said an ‘intimation was received from the other side that on account of certain administrative issues, the bus could not be allowed to cross over.’
India was trying to ascertain further details, he said. ‘(We) are fixing up an alternative date and time so that the inconvenience to the passengers is reduced to the extent possible.’
The spokesman did not say what the administrative issues were or whether the stoppage was linked with the manhunt underway in Pakistan for suspects in the Lahore terror attack.
