LAHORE: Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Thursday said the tax base will be broadened by bringing in more sectors into the tax net.
Addressing a conference on tax collection policy, he said the present target of tax revenue is much lower than the country’s income and resources.
He pointed out that the total number of taxpayers is only 2 million in the Pakistan which is much lower compared to other countries.
Chairman FBR said stability of country’s economy has a direct link with the broadening of tax base.
