QUETTA: Balochistan's Provincial Secretary Mines Jan Mohammad Dashti and his driver were seriously wounded when unknown gunmen raked their vehicle with bullets here at Sariab overhead bridge on Monday.
According to police, Jan Mohammad Dashti was on his way to work when the gunmen intercepted his vehicle and opened fire.
As a result, he and his driver received multiple bullet wounds and were hospitalised for treatment.
Dashti's condition was stated to be critical.
The motive behind the act could not be ascertained.
The police has registered a case against unknown assailants.
