Faryal Talpur appointed as Central President of PPP Women Wing



ISLAMABAD, Jan 31 (APP): Member National Assembly (MNA) Ms. Faryal Talpur has been appointed as the Central President of the Party’s Women Wing as well as the President of the Youth Wing of the Party.
The appointment has been made by the PPP Co‑Chairman and President Asif Ali Zardari, says a notification issued by the Party today.
Four coordinators, one from each province, have also been appointed to the Women Wing of the party along with MNA Ms. Faryal Talpur as the Central President of the Women Wing, the notification said.
The coordinators of the Women Wing are Ms. Beelum Hasnain MNA (Punjab), Ms. Shagufta Jummani MNA (Sindh), Ms. Asma Arbab Jahangir MNA (NWFP) and Ms Zil‑e‑ Huma, MNA (Balochistan).
MNA, Ms. Palwasha Khan has been appointed as coordinator PPP Youth Wing with Ms Faryal Talpur as the President of the wing.
According to the notification, Secretary General PPP, Jahangir Bader, Secretary General PPP, Raja Pervez Ashraf, MNA and Information Secretary PPP, Ms Sherry Rehman, MNA have bee nominated as members of the Party’s central leadership for coordination.
Meanwhile MNA Faryal Talpur while addressing a gathering of PPP’s women parliamentarians here at Zardari House said that PPP will continue its struggle to protect the rights of women and resolve their problems.
She said that PPP always raised the voice for women rights and every effort would be made for the emancipation of the women, which form 51 percent of the total population of the country.
Ms Faryal said that Peoples Party was committed to the welfare and well‑ being of the women in accordance with the PPP manifesto.
A large number of women parliamentarians and General Secretary of the Party Jahangir Badr and Senior Minister Punjab Raja Riaz were also present on the occasion.
